This 24″ (DN600) Class 600 BS1873 gear-operated globe valve uses an OS&Y (Outside Screw and Yoke) rising stem and a plug disc. It has a bolted bonnet and either threaded or welded seat rings. The body is cast steel A216 WCB. The gear operator eases handling given the large size. The valve serves in oil, gas, petrochemical, and power generation systems for isolation and throttling, where tight shut-off and flow regulation are needed.
