Fire-Safe Design
Fire-safe valves maintain a secondary metal-to-metal seal in the event of a fire that destroys the primary PTFE seats. This prevents catastrophic leakage and meets API 607 or API 6FA certification requirements. For critical safety applications (oil & gas, refineries, LNG), fire-safe design is often mandatory.
Anti-Static Design
For flammable media (hydrocarbons, natural gas, solvents), an anti-static device ensures electrical continuity between the ball, stem, and body. This prevents static charge buildup and potential ignition.
Blowout-Proof Stem
The valve stem is designed with an integral collar that prevents ejection under pressure, even if the packing gland fails. This is a critical safety feature for high-pressure and hazardous services.

Soft-seated (PTFE/RPTFE) valves provide bubble-tight shut-off (zero leakage) but have temperature limitations (typically up to 200°C) and may be damaged by abrasive media. Metal-seated (hard-faced) valves withstand higher temperatures (up to 450°C) and abrasive slurries, but typically have higher leakage rates (Class IV or V) – they are not zero-leakage. Choose based on your priority: tight shut-off or extreme conditions.

Yes, our floating ball valves are certified to API 607 and API 6FA fire-safe standards. This means in the event of a fire that destroys the soft PTFE/RPTFE seats, a secondary metal-to-metal sealing contact between the ball and valve body is activated, preventing leakage of flammable media even after the fire is extinguished.
Full-bore (full-port) valves have a ball with an inner diameter equal to the pipe’s ID, offering zero flow restriction – ideal for pigging operations and minimal pressure drop. Reduced-bore (standard-port) valves have a smaller ball bore, which reduces valve size, weight, and cost, but creates some flow restriction – suitable for most general industrial applications where pigging is not required.
Common seat materials include PTFE (standard, -196°C to 200°C), RPTFE (reinforced, better wear resistance), PEEK (high temperature up to 300°C, suitable for steam and high-pressure applications), and Nylon (good for abrasive media). Choose floating ball valve for pipe sizes up to 8 inches and pressures up to Class 1500. The floating ball design uses line pressure to push the ball against the downstream seat, creating tighter sealing as pressure increases. For larger diameters (above 8 inches) or higher pressures (Class 2500+), choose trunnion mounted ball valve to reduce operating torque and prevent excessive seat wear.

Absolutely. For standard ball valves, we can offer off-the-shelf samples of common sizes (1/2″ to 4″) at a discounted price, with a refundable deposit that can be credited toward a future bulk order. For custom or larger sizes, we accept small trial orders (as few as 2–5 pieces) after a non-recurring engineering (NRE) fee is agreed. The NRE fee will be waived once the customer proceeds to a production order of 50 pieces or more.
We offer flexible payment terms based on order value and customer history. For standard orders: 30% deposit by T/T (wire transfer) with 70% balance before shipping. For larger or repeat customers, we can consider 20% deposit + 80% balance payment.
- For standard models, the minimum order quantity (MOQ) is usually 100 pieces per size. For sizes that are in stock, it takes 3 to 5 business days to ship after you place your order. Our usual lead time for making standard catalog valves that aren’t in stock is 15 to 25 business days after we get your order and approve the drawing.
- Custom models (with special materials, pressure classes, actuator mounting, custom logos, etc.): The minimum order quantity (MOQ) varies, so please get in touch with our sales team for a full quote. The lead time is usually 15 to 45 days, depending on how complicated the process is. Also, we offer a mixed-model consolidation service for distributors to help them deal with their inventory problems.
